Made with Love: Holy Deliciousness

As I sat down to write this, I really thought I would be sharing a recipe with you. There's so many delicious things to peel, prepare, measure up, spoon in, dollop, dash in, splash in, mix, stir, combine, bake with and cook.

To eat and enjoy. Especially that.

And no matter what you are making or whether it's for your brilliant self, for two, three or a round table full of loved ones, there's a particular ingredient that's vital.

Love. The love that is from you.

Sure, love is love. It's all source energy. Give two or a room full of people the exact same ingredients and recipe, and every result will be different in how it looks and tastes. So what is the difference?

We each add our energy, our essence, our love into it.

And when we do this consciously - to be mindful that your essence and love goes into the food you prepare, serve and eat - holy deliciousness.

Wherever you live on the planet, we know this. It's what makes homemade food so good and why we say a mama's cooking is best (or dad's or grandma's as the case may be).

But how many of us eat with this mindfulness with all that we eat, wherever we are and whoever we are with?

Which is the inspiring fuel of this post.

Begin with breakfast.

Be it a smoothie bowl, a protein shake, tea, coffee, toast, oats, eggs, pancakes, fruit or whatever it is for you.

As you prepare it, make it and serve it; give yourself the gift of you, your focus, your presence, your love. Often we think we don't have time, there's things to do and stuff to prepare for the day. Well, how you start your morning sends a ripple effect throughout your day. 60 seconds is all it takes to focus your thoughts on the nourishment in front of you. It charges your food with love. And fuels your cells with love-charged yum.

And if you have another minute, play with your food, yep, play with it.

As in the way you present it. It doesn't need to be an award-winning design, an extravagant masterpiece or a perfect symmetrical shape ready to shoot for Instagram (though for some of us that's fun too...). It's whatever you feel in the moment. Make a pattern out of your blueberries. Enjoy how you stack your fresh fruit pieces, stir spice into your spelt oats or butter your sourdough. Pay attention to how you blitz and shake things in your blender, how you drizzle and add things into your bowl or how you spread and cut things on your plate.

The more aware you are of adding a dash of love into your day right from the beginning, of the love that flows through you, you are uplifting your own vibration from within right there.

And watch out, people will start asking you, "What did you have for breakfast!?".

Love baby, love.

p.s. I would love to see what goodness you are making and serving up for yourself! If it feels good to you, take a pic and share it on Instagram using the hashtag #holydeliciousness so we can find you.
