Q&A: How not to feel so helpless at this time
A great question came in from someone asking what we can do to not feel so helpless.
I think it’s the little things:
🌟 Connecting with your inner centre is key, otherwise it’s so easy to feel off balance listening to the barrage of often conflicting news and messages out there. Turn off the news and get off social media when it all feels too much.
🌟 Plant seeds for the good things you want to see happen. Either literally do things that you can do in your own home, workplace, community etc, or share info that feels good to you to share.
🌟 Every single little thing that each of us does helps...it doesn’t have to be big and it doesn’t have to directly involve others. Eg stress impacts on our immune system, so anything you can do to ease the fight/flight/freeze stress response will help: going for walks, getting outside in the sun, soothing music, meditation, deep breathing, baking, gardening, time in nature, the beach if possible, whatever feels good to you.
🌟 Take one day at a time. We are travelling through something akin to a birth canal. It can be tough, yet also initiatory, and a time when a lot is getting re-set. Make self care and care for others a priority.
🌟 This too shall pass. This is not our new normal. This is a fork in the road. Humanity is going through a massive shift and this is part of it. As the saying goes it’s all okay in the end, and if it’s not okay it’s not the end.
